The Department of Economics is established in 1981 with the inception of the college. From there we started offering Economics subject to the undergraduate level and from 1985 the department began to offering post graduate in Economics with the certified strength of 50 students.
The Department got the liberty to broaden its domain of activities in macro scale. Several plans of action to involve the students and intensify their creativity and skill have been initiated along with innovative methods of teaching.
Several students of the Department of Economics have come out with flying colours and have got very high jobs in public and private sectors.
